The story behind the artwork
Original Canadian Flag Painting – Oh Canada
Oh Canada is a bold, contemporary celebration of the Canadian flag and the sense of belonging it represents.
The red maple leaf commands the composition, surrounded by strong passages of red and white. A clear, high-gloss resin finish intensifies the colour and gives the surface a luminous, almost glass-like depth, while the matte-black wood frame creates a clean contemporary presentation.
The Story Behind O Canada
Graham created O Canada in tribute to Canada’s 150th anniversary and to the personal meanings carried by the country’s most recognizable symbol. Variations in the oil paint, visible movement in the surface and the reflective resin finish make the image change subtly as the viewer moves past it.
For collectors in Canada—or Canadians living elsewhere—the painting can represent home, family, memory and connection to place.

How It Works in a Room
Dominant colours: Strong Canadian red and white, framed by matte black.
Mood: Bold, confident and celebratory. The graphic palette gives the painting immediate visual impact.
It works especially well in a living room, entryway, office, boardroom, hospitality space or contemporary Canadian interior. Diffuse daylight or directional gallery lighting reveals the depth of the resin surface; avoid prolonged direct sunlight.
