The story behind the artwork
Original Black Bear Wildlife Painting – Cosmic Roar
Cosmic Roar is an original 12 × 12 inch oil on canvas painting by Canadian artist Graham Watts, capturing a black bear mid-roar in vivid electric blue, yellow and red.
The open mouth, exposed teeth and intense expression give the painting immediate energy, while bold colour pushes the image beyond traditional wildlife realism. Electric blues and warm yellow highlights move through the fur, while the bear’s red eye adds a dramatic focal point.
Against the dark background, scattered points of colour create an almost cosmic atmosphere, blending the raw power of the animal with a playful, contemporary visual style.
Created for collectors drawn to black bear art, colourful wildlife paintings and original Canadian artwork, Cosmic Roar is a compact statement piece with strong personality and visual impact.
